How-to
Step 1
Cut your Lumber equal length!
4ft lengths = 5.5ft tall x 7.5ft wide
5ft lengths = 7ft tall x 9.5ft wide
6ft lengths = 8ft tall x 11.5ft wide
or
Lumber Length x 1.375 = Height
Lumber Length x 1.9 = Width
Step 2
Predrill your timbers using a connector as a template. On level ground, gently screw snug assembling from the ground up. Avoid countersinking and be sure to support each beam during installation.
Step 3
Be sure to brace, anchor to the ground and shelter from the wind.
Bracing your dome adds strength and style!
Simply cut extra lumber at 34.5 degrees vertically on each end, predrill and screw into your existing magidome to add integrity and style.
Finally, customize to perfect your project! Cover in poly for a greenhouse, wrap in fabric for a tent. Be sure to brace, anchor to the ground and shelter from the wind.
Endless Possibilities
Magidomes work best when assembled snug on solid flat ground. Covering your dome can be done easily and affordably using local supplies. Be sure to anchor and brace any covered dome. Magidomes are lightweight and rigid when used properly but not designed for load bearing or climbing use.
